In ISTABUL LAYOVER TOURS, we know that sometimes even the most well organized travel plans can go wrong. Showing understanding to the unforeseen factors, the following cancellation policy will be applied. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email and confirmed by us so your cancellation will be on record. We do accept cancellations by phone, text message or 3rd parties followed by written instructions. Please be so kind to let us know as soon as possible for any booking changes and cancellations, in order to re arrange our schedule and your pre-booked driver or guide will not lose work for that day.

The following cancellation policy is used by almost all service providers all over Europe in order to minimize no shows.

The cancellation fees are expressed hereafter as a percentage of the total deposit collected at booking stage.

For Private Istanbul Layover Tours

  • If you cancel 24 hours or more before the agreed date and time of service: No Fees, 0% of cost of the services booked.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before agreed date and time of service: 100% of paid deposit will be charged by the company unless it is forced cancellation due to flight cancellation, delays & changes, weather conditions.
  • If you need to change the date and time of your service 24 hours or more before the agreed date and time of service: No Fees, 0% of cost of the services booked.
  • If you need to change the date and time of your service less than 24 hours before the agreed date and time of service: 50% of paid deposit will be charged by the company.
  • In case of  no show, 100% of the paid deposit will be charged by the company.
  • Istanbul Layover Tours accepts changes or cancellations as mentioned above via e-mail providing the confirmation voucher information (booking Number, Date of Booking, Leader’s Name, Type of Service)

For Group Istanbul Layover Tours

For your Shore Excursions:

  • If you are a cruise passenger and your ship does not dock in Istanbul, for any reason, no cancellation fees will be applied: No Fees, 0% of cost of the services booked
  • If you cancel 24 hours or more before the agreed date and time of service: No Fees, 0% of cost of the services booked.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the agreed date and time of service: 50% of cost of services booked will be charged by the company unless it is forced changed due to flight cancellation, delays & changes, weather conditions.

ISTANBUL LAYOVER TOURS reserves the right to cancel a service at any time when reasons arise beyond our control, such as prevailing weather conditions, forces of nature, strikes, etc. In such case you will immediately be informed by us and fully refunded 100%.

Please refer to your voucher for the resumed cancellation policy of your booked service.

No Show Policy/ Meeting Point Information

Your driver or welcome host and/or tour guide will be waiting for you on the confirmed date, time and location as agreed and as per instructions.

They  will wait for one and half hour (1,5) over the agreed scheduled time and maximum  90 minutes over landing time. After this time your reservation will be regarded as a “No Show”.
