I was having 9 hour layover in Istanbul on my way to Seoul. I was quite hesitant at first but i'm glad i took the tour. Instructions were easy, communication was superb, the guide Alp was more than helpful and kind. The city, food, everything was beyond my expectations. Definitely will return for a longer tour. 10/10 would recommend.

My husband and I had an early morning layover in Istanbul on our way back from our honeymoon in the Maldives. We wanted to make the most of our time in the city and decided to book a private layover tour with Istanbul Layover Tours. We were thrilled to find out that we could start our day exploring the city before the crowds arrived. Our guide, Alp, was fantastic – he was very knowledgeable and passionate about Istanbul’s history and culture, and made the tour so enjoyable and informative. We visited the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, and the Grand Bazaar, and Alp gave us a great overview of each place. He even took us to a local cafe for a delicious Turkish breakfast, which was a great way to start our day. We were impressed with how much we were able to see and do in just a few hours. Alp was also very accommodating to our flight schedule, making sure we got back to the airport with plenty of time to spare. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with Istanbul Layover Tours and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a personalized and informative layover tour with the added benefit of breakfast and an early pick-up

I had a 16 hour layover and luckily found this online. I was worried about being a solo young female at night in Istanbul. The team changed that immediately. Very responsive via email and phone, accommodating when I was running late once I landed, made sure I was comfortable every step of the way! Taylan was an amazing tour guide! He was more than willing to adjust the tour to what your interests were. He was so helpful, kind, and beyond knowledgable! You can tell he really has a passion for history and teaching it to others. He went out of his way to make sure I was interested and comfortable the whole time. Can not recommend enough this tour if you have a long layover in Istanbul!!

Such a great foodie tour! I contacted Latif directly and he set me up for the following day’s outing. The weather happened to be particularly wet so he accommodated to make sure we were getting maximal value for money. Loved the relevant factoids about Turkish food and culture. The group is kept to a manageable size and I’m thankful for it. Do you love trying new food and have just arrived in Istanbul? What are you waiting for?!

I just came back from a 1 night stopover in Istanbul and did a 6 hour tour with Istanbul Layover Tours - all I can say is WOW and how perfect everything was from start to finish.....impeccable tour with a phenomenal guide and worth every dollar and then some!!
